However my biggest concern is that our elected representatives do not do enough to monitor the effects on our environment, and enforce violations on the producing companies. I live in Rosamond and the solar farm companies are completely clearing the vegetation in the construction phase and have turned my community into a BIG dust bowl. My 2nd district supervisor is "looking into the problem". We know the wind blows and blows in this region. The "looking into" should be done during the ERI phase and the county needs to hire enough regulatory staff to make sure the company is complying with the county regulations.<br />That said, I love Kern County.
